IREC Team and Vendor Fees

Explanation of Fees

Teams participation in the IREC event at Spaceport America should expect to pay $700 per rocket team and $50 per team member. The payments are divided into three fees defined as follows:

Entry Fee: $200
The Entry Fee is necessary for ESRA to make down payments on facility rentals, equipment rentals, and purchasing of new equipment before the event. The deadline for payment of Team Entry Fees is Friday, December 17th.  Each team's Entry Fee should be paid as soon as possible/practical after submitting their entry form, and is refundable up until Friday, April 23rd. After this date, no refunds will be given.

Rocket Fee: $500
The Rocket Fee pays for any costs that are not directly related to the number of people at the event. Each team's Rocket Fee is due on or before Friday, April 23rd. Payment after this date will be considered "late", and the fee will increase to $700.

Rocketeer Fee: $50
The Rocketeer Fee pays for all costs that are directly related to the number of people at the event. Each participant's Rocketeer Fee is due on or before Friday, April 23rd. Payment after this date will be considered "late", and the fee will increase to $60.

Student team members are provided Spaceport America Cup items such as T-Shirts, patches, lanyards, etc. However, due to the size of the competition, it is often difficult to keep track of supplies. Items are provided in a "first-come, first-served" basis during event registration. Please make sure to come early.

Please use the most unique identifier available when paying your Entry Deposit Fee and Rocket Fee. Once assigned, your Team ID will always be the most unique identifier for associating your payment to your team.
