Explanation of Fees
Teams participation in the IREC event at Spaceport America should expect to pay $700 per rocket team and $50 per team member. The payments are divided into three fees defined as follows:
Entry Fee: $200
The Entry Fee is necessary for ESRA to make down payments on facility rentals, equipment rentals, and purchasing of new equipment before the event. The deadline for payment of Team Entry Fees is Friday, December 11th. Each team's Entry Fee should be paid as soon as possible/practical after submitting their entry form, and is refundable up until Friday, April 23rd. After this date, no refunds will be given.
Rocket Fee: $500
The Rocket Fee pays for any costs that are not directly related to the number of people at the event. Each team's Rocket Fee is due on or before Friday, April 23rd. Payment after this date will be considered "late", and the fee will increase to $700.
Rocketeer Fee: $50
The Rocketeer Fee pays for all costs that are directly related to the number of people at the event. Each participant's Rocketeer Fee is due on or before Friday, April 23rd. Payment after this date will be considered "late", and the fee will increase to $60.
*We do hand out T-Shirts, patches, lanyards, etc; however, due to the size of the competition, it is difficult to keep track of supplies. Everything is given out as first-come first-served basis during event registration. Please make sure to come early.
Vendor Fee: $250
Rocketry vendors seeking to sell products to Spaceport America Cup teams onsite at the event will now register, pay a registration fee and will provide prizes or gift certificates of equal value for the closing awards ceremony.
